The ambitious man
Lives in a traffic jam
He's never satisfied
He says things just to prove
It's time for his next move
And once he's gone there's proof he lied
He's going the wrong way about it
He's going the wrong way
The wrong way
The girl with looks to kill
Won't but pretends she will
She taunts him with her eyes
She uses bed as bait
Until they're wed he'll wait
But she's in for a surprise
She's going the wrong way about it
She's going the wrong way
The wrong way
She's going the wrong way about it
They'll make a perfect pair
They'll have so much to share
And they are bound to meet
They both like driving the wrong way up a one way street
They’re going the wrong way about it
They’re going the wrong way
The wrong way
They’re going the wrong way about it
They’re going the wrong way
The wrong way
Yeah they're going the wrong way about it
Another early exercise in song writing with Cliff Coates.
Story telling. Him, her, them, karma, commentary, observation, sterotypes etc. We used to like songs to 'resolve' themselves, so that the story is complete by the end of the tune.
