Tell Me, Take Me, Save Me, Send Me
Show the things that I can't see
All of this is just to be Nothing more
Free Me, Love Me, Leave Me, Let Me
Find me where you left me
Everything falls free
Crashes to the floor
Speaking words is worse than when
All I could see was me
Touch me, Turn Me, Crash Me, Burn Me
But don't get down on one knee
In my future naturally
There’s nothing more
Speaking words is worse than when
All I could see was me
Speaking words is worse than when
All I could see was... me
Instrumental
Free Me, Love Me, Leave Me, Let Me
Find me where you left me
Everything falls free
Crashes to the floor
Speaking words is worse than when
All I could see was...
But don't get down on one knee
In my future naturally
There’s nothing more
Originally entitled 'What I Saw Today'
I guess what she's basically saying is that talking about a possible future that is never going to happen is very disappointing and pretty depressing. Having a glimpse of how things could be without the chance for it to come to fruition is worse than having no idea of that possibility and living in relative contentment alone.
As far as the audio goes, forgiving the poor tape quality, this is more early 1990s Haley/Coates & Ultimate Shed nostalgia. If I had a time machine I'd get back there and tell those guys to use a different drum machine pattern now and again!
